The Black Winter Set from Seymour Duncan is bridge and neck humbucker set designed specifically for crushing black and death metal. The pickups offer a dark and vicious tone with plenty of grime and aggression. The bridge pickup utilizes ceramic magnets to ensure maximum output and sustain in all high-gain applications. The custom-wound coils deliver clear mids and treble with focused and controlled low end.
The neck pickup also utilizes ceramic magnets to provide crushing distortion, punishing mids, aggressive saturation, and string sensitivity. This high-output pickup delivers a fluid solo tone with a crisp, clear sound and balanced mids, treble, and bass. Both pickups are designed to handle any tuning, allowing for aggressive palm mutes, fluid tremolo picking, and searing lead tones. Each pickup utilizes ceramic magnets, a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax-potted for squeal-free operation. The Black Winter Set is handmade in Santa Barbara, CA.
